Ok.  When I joined, I posted 12 books, they were all on other WLs (paranormal romances, mostly).  I sent them all out.  So far 4 have been marked received, but only 3 show up on my map.  Why is that?

So...you sent all 12 books out, and you used delivery confirmation for all 12?

they won't all show up until they are all marked received.  although you should have 4 (unless you sent 2 to the same city)

I used Delivery Confirmation on eleven of them.  I think when I printed the 12th one, I didn't have enough money in the account anymore to pay the postage, and it somehow defaulted to the wrapper without postage.  I paid at the Post Office for that one (with Delivery Confirmation).   That book actually is on the map.

Hmmm...my best guess is that the DC did not get scanned for some of those books.  That happens sometimes.

The map doesn't work all of the time for me, I don't think that it's accurate 100% of the time.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't pay much attention to it.

I don't know about the map problem.  Mine is nearly full, though.  I have now sent out >2400 books, used delivery confirmation on none of them and had about 10-15 that went lost.  With this <1% incidence, it isn't worth the $, at least not to me, to pay the extra for the DC.  It is popular with a lot of people, though, and I wouldn't criticize those who swear by it.

OH the sent/received map?  I thought you were asking about the delivery confirmation tracking map.  Sorry - disregard my earlier comments.

You have to understand.....I am fascinated by this site!!!   I feel like a tourist in a new country.   I couldn't figure out what the small little symbol was, on my sent books listed in my completed transaction list.  It looks like a tiny footprint in a red rimmed circle.   Figured it out...a book passport.  Tells you the travel history of the book!!   I think that's the coolest thing ever!

What can I say.  I am new.

Hmm...yeah the only thing I can think of is two to the same area.  Have you clicked on each one yet?  It will give  you details of who you sent to, so if there were 2 in one locations it would show up.  You just click on each dot on the map.

Yes, now there are 8 dots.  But there should be 9.  A second book went to Massachusetts that still isn't showing up.
