I liked this book. Not the best Vampire novel I've ever read ... but it deserves more than one star. I'd give it a 3. Reign and Olivia settled their differences and came together nicely at the end!

I liked this book but there were areas of redundancy...like the author forgot that she already told us this and ended up repeating the same lines over and over. It was a distraction while reading. It was however, a good story and you find out more about the background of the original 5 and runs concurrent to the other stories...so it is better to read in order so you are not wondering the significance of the other stories and how it ties in.

Reign is a vampire who turned his wife, Olivia, on their wedding night thirty years ago. Olivia left him immediately and they have not been in contact since. Now Olivia needs Reign to get her kidnapped nephew back. Reign and Olivia are together again to rescue her nephew but their personal relationship is tenuous.

Reads like the first book in a series,Brotherhood of the Blood.

Four stars.

I've read several books in this series and this is one of the better books in the Brotherhood of the Blood. I love books about second chances at love. This story is about two vampires reuniting after being apart for nearly three decades.

The author was redundant in certain sections. However, I loved the heroine. She was spunky and very independent. Definitely not one of those too stupid to live heroines. She wasn't stubborn to the point of doing things that were dangerous to her or others. Sometimes female heroines go too far in that direction. The hero was likable and strong. They had good banter and sizzling chemistry. You can read this as a stand alone book, but it works best if you've read the three preceding books in the series.

I give this book three stars.
