Really liked the zoo setting and the interactions Iris has with the animals, Littlewood was a zoo keeper and her knowledge clearly shows. I guessed the murderer right away, but it was a guess; when you read so many mysteries you get a feel for it I think. I liked Iris, I thought her initial doubts and confusion about the events, and then her clumsy plans to unmask the villain, were quite believable. It does seem to slow down a bit in the middle. Good debut to a series and I'll look for the next.

Very good book- I can't wait to read more from this series. Great behind the scenes look at how a zoo operates with a really good mystery too. Lots of suspects and bits of information revealed throughout the book. One part is really unexpected and scary!
