Plot: This book is an account of Noah Webster's life and accomplishments. It takes the reader from his time on his parent's farm at the age of twelve to his death at age eighty-four. The book also has many side-tracks and talks about things that are happening in America during the time of his life.

Characters: Even though you read about Noah's entire life, I don't feel that you really connect with him. You learn a lot but not a lot of depth.

Themes: This book was severely lacking in any themes. It was completely historical and there was nothing to be learned or taken away from it except for facts.

Emotion: Because of the historical perspective of this book, it was lacking in any sort of emotion. The characters and their circumstances were very dry and there was no emotional connections to be made.

Overall: I really did not like this book at all. It was more of a book that one would be made to read in school than a book that would be read for enjoyment. I also felt that there was a lot of filler in the book by way of long references to historical events that really had nothing to do with Noah Webster's life.
