I loved this book. I read it a couple of years ago. One of the most inspirational books I've read (next to the Bible). I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it.

The concept intrigued me--a strong Christian woman's faith. However, this novel was such a downer for me. Sure, Christians absolutely have difficulties in this life, and the Lord provides the strength to persevere. But this poor woman had everything from several lifetimes happen to her! As each event unfolded, I kept waiting for some sort of resolution. I wasn't encouraged by reading it--too depressing.

It is a remarkable story and legacy of faith of one woman's life when she makes the committment to not just follow the Lord, but surrender all. Excellent book!

The story takes place during the time that my grandmother would have been growing up. Very interesting story about the strong faith of a woman growing up in a very difficult time period.

Jerry Jenkins has never disappointed me with the books he's written. This is a compelling story about enduring faith, love and grace from a sinner's perspective and evidence of God's amazing patience with us. You don't want to put it down!

I have mixed feelings on this one. Throughout the story, I found myself thinking that certain things were not in the proper time frame. That being said, I really did enjoy the story line. Elisabeth, the main character, was a wonderful example for life while also being real, with real feelings. This book had some good lessons. God doesn't always answer our prayers the way we want Him to. Christianity comes with a price. The big one that came across to me was that you never really know how many lives you touch and how much influence you really have or how many lives you really touch. Enjoy the book!

Elizabeth LeRoy gives her heart to the Lord as a teen. She goes through many trials in her life. She almost lost her boyfriend during the war, and dealt with a rebellious child. This is an excellent book, covering many years and two generations.
