Since so many of us have Nook's or got them for Christmas, please share any Nook Books you are willing to "Lend" to a L&R member.

Remember each book is only available to lend ONE TIME, and that once lent, you only have that book available to you for 14 days.

List the Nook books you have available to lend.  If you're not sure if its lendable, go to your BN.com account and click on "My Nook Libary".  This will tell you if a book you own is available.

How long are the books you guys are listing available?  I got a Nook for Christmas and I am still a couple weeks away from getting it figured out.  But I'd love to try out some of the books listed.  And lend some back once I get a few downloaded.  Of course I'm not a regular poster here so maybe I don't have the appropriate membership smiley  Regardless, it would be fun at somepoint to do a lend to see how it works!

Issa,  once you lend a book to someone (or have a book lent to you) its only available for 14 days.  Then it reverts back to the owner.

Also, it can only be loaned once.

Stupid question but here goes - is it right to assume I can only lend out those Nook Books I have that show the little LendMe Smiley Face next to the title???  I don't want to post something here that I can then not lend.  Thanks, Pauline

That's right.  It should have a Lend Me box next to the book.  BUT, I've noticed that when I go back into my archives on BN.com, sometimes books that were previously unlendable are now available to lend.  So keep checking back.

Also, I'm playing in Nicole's Nook Swap and when it was time for me to lend the book that was chosen the "lendme" icon had disappeared and it was no longer lendable!

Jeanette - you've posted your Groupon deal on a couple of topics in this forum.  THIS particular thread is for Nook lending.  Please keep all posts relative to the topic please.

Makes perfect sense for her to post here, Sherri - she's helping us build up our B&N libraries which means even more books to lend. But hey, it's your thread, so you make the rules.  :)

I bought 3 GCs, so, thanks for the heads up, Jeanette!  yes

ETA: Oops! Guess my post isn't "relative to the topic" either, sorry.

Lori I'm really sorry you felt the need to not only reply to a post not directed at you, but be snarky about it.  Its actually NOT "my" thread, I just started it.  But to put an end to the conversation, there's a thread called Post News of Romance sales/freebies  that would be perfect for Jeanette's post, and she's already posted it there.  This thread is for Nook books we already own and want to share.

Actually I wasn't being snarky, sorry if it sounded that way. That's how both of your posts come across though, especially with all the underlines (I see you removed that) and bold print.

I always thought whoever started a thread, it was kinda theirs, like in swaps - guess not.

No hard feelings on my end.

Yes, I posted it in every forum I could think of that would be interested in this deal. Some folks may only “watch” your thread but no others that deal with Nooks because they’re not interested or don’t know about the thread. I felt any thread that dealt with Nookbooks would be interested in this deal. Please note that I didn’t post the Amazon deal nor any Fictionwise discounts in this thread. I posted a deal for B&N where we buy Nookbooks.

Its actually NOT "my" thread, I just started it.
Yes, and there are several Nookbook threads all over the Discussion Board and I’m glad you started this one in Love and Romance. But it was started for Nookbooks and that’s why I posted it here and any thread I found that dealt with Nookbooks.  We all appreciate any deal or offer that allows us to get a deal on Nookbooks.

You could have just as easily sent me a PM to save me from your post which embarrasses me. That would have been the more courteous thing to do.

Lori I'm really sorry you felt the need to not only reply to a post not directed at you
Thank you Lori. You only did what other people do in other threads and that's to state your opinion.  I really appreciate your support!

I’ll move on now as I’m sure Sherri would appreciate it.

On-topic reminders are typically put in posts, not private messages, otherwise other readers may think it's okay to go off-topic.

Posting large numbers of repeats of the same information within posts in a single forum, no matter how well intentioned, is spamming -- especially when someone has financial incentive to do so.
