I have read many of Nora Roberts's books and just finished all three books of the Key Trilogy. The first book started out extremely "superficial" but as the series progressed, the storyline just became better and better. The final book is a great combination of romance, horror, and HUMOR. All of the characters are fleshed out by the final novel, and the end has a series of satisfying and unexpected turns of events.  I highly recommend this trilogy if you like the way Nora Roberts writes (somewhat formulaic, but who cares?). Also, the final book has one of the best "feel good" endings ever.

By the way, I just happen to have all three on my bookshelf!  :^)
