Anna is returning home from a trip to Ireland from America to find her brother has been in a terribe accident while going to get her nephew, Joseph out of jail. Anna ends up picking Joseph up and taking him home to her house to spend the night prior to taking Joseph to the hospital to see his father. Anna and Joseph end up transported to Ireland into the year 1844 through a form of time travel that neither of them understand. Their adventure is extreamly interesting and a great historical story.

I don't usually get into time travel books - but this was excellent story telling. I loved her other book and she always has a great dog in the story. Being a dog lover it drew me in. I read it on a longgggg flight to LA. Highly recommend.

This book is very different from Sheehan's first book - Lost & Found. However, I really enjoyed it. I normally do not care for time travel type stories, but this book got my attention and kept it.

Without giving away anything specific or revealing (as some other reviewers do...grr) I will say that I was really able to get into this book. A few parts are pretty unbelievable, and lots of loopholes that don't make much sense, but it was still interesting. I was able to think of the characters as people, not just letters on pages. So when it did not end the way I thought it should, suffice it to say, I was VERY let down. I wanted to throw the book across the room. So either a sequel is on the way or this was drawn out hundreds of pages (370 to be exact)to only end in about two paragraphs. Very anti-climatic and disappointing. If I would have known it was like that, I probably wouldn't have started it.

Lost and Found, another work of hers, was much better.

I just finished this book yesterday ... wow! It was fabulous, had everything that makes a great story, well written, adventure, time travel, romance and a fantastic ending that pulls it all together. LOVED IT!

I did not enjoy this book - very far-fetched and difficult to follow - Not her best book!

Hokey. I did not realize when I requested this book that it involved time travel. The book started beautifully but I stopped reading when it got ridiculous. Quite a departure from her previous book. Sorry, I could not suspend disbelief for this one.
