But anyway, it's already mid-May, so what are you reading...

I'm finishing "Lost Boy," a sad FLDS memoir. After that will be "Second Chance" by Jane Green.

I just finished Summer and the City by Candace Bushnell which I enjoyed. I started reading I Think I love You, but I didn't love it so it is going on my DNF list.  It wasn't that it was bad but I just couldn't get into the whole David Cassidy thing.  Not sure what   I'm picking up next.  

Pfffffffffffft, I had a fail too. I could not get into "Second Chance." I think I'm on overload with these whole "The Big Chill" books and movies where groups of people come together to rip themselves apart after something major happens to one in their group. I had never heard of the term DNF before but this one certainly was. I'm moving on to "Post Grad," which is cute and light and fluffy already.

I am about halfway through Chelsea Handler's second book.  The first one was quite entertaining, but I'm finding it difficult to make it all the way through this one.  I have the third one, too, and I'm kind of bummed because I don't want that one to be like this one. >.<

Just started Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin.  I tried to read Little Pink Slips by Sally Koslove but could only finish 2 chapters.  I couldn't get into it so I started something new.

Reading The Hour I First Believed by Wally Lamb, really good but a big book at over 740 pages.

I just started - "Sue Ellen's Girl Ain't Fat, She Just Weighs Heavy" by Shellie Rushing Tomlinson.

OMG!!! This book is so funny!

I am reading (and liking) "How to Be Single"...

Halfway through Holly's Inbox by Holly Denham.  It's very funny and written entirely in e-mails, so it goes quick

Finished Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin (liked it) & now I am reading Something Blue........

I finished Something Blue by Emily Giffin & although I liked it, I thought it was a bit predictable.  Now I want to see the movie Something Borrowed.

Today I started reading The Dairy Queen by Allison Rushby....so far, so good.

I am about to start "Slightly Settled" by Wendy Markham. I really liked the first book in the series so hopefully this is a good follow-up. 

I also could not get into "Second Chance" and dropped it after about 100 pages. 

I just started "I Heart New York" by Lindsay Kelk and it is very cute, esp after the downer memoir I just read. I'm curious to know if the other "I Heart" books follow the same girl or are other stories? I think I have one and am on the WL for the other. The only thing I can think of so far with this is how unrealistic it is that she just happened to fall into a hotel and everything from massive breakfasts, snacks, shopping sprees and makeovers are completely falling into her lap for her for free. I know when I've had guy problems, it hasn't exactly been as nice, but it's cute to read about! :-)

Finished The Dairy Queen by Allison Rushby (I'd give it 4 stars) & started on The Yoga Mamas by Katherine Stewart.

Considering I don't have kids, it's hard for me to relate to The Yoga Mamas but it's been an easy/quick read so far.

Finished The Yoga Mamas & now reading Citizen Girl by Emma McLaughlin & Nicola Kraus.......

Totally can't get into Citizen Girl..........so now I am trying a new one by the same authors. (The Nanny Diaries)

Just finished a YA book, Supernaturally by Kiersten White, that I enjoyed...starting Wish You Were Here by Phillipa Ashley

Couldn't get into The Nanny Diaries either. Maybe it's time for a break from chick lit for a brief time.

I finished Wish You Were Here and enjoyed it...now off to read a YA, Anna Dressed in Blood by Kenare Blake
