Bill O'Reilly at his best. If you love him or hate him you will enjoy this book about American culture and what can be done to save us from ourselves.

A good read. Having read the book on its 10th Anniversary was interesting as some of the information is dated, but most of still interesting.
I think the "people" and "things" mentioned in the "Bad" listing would be very different in 2011.

If you are in the mood to be lectured by a man with a very public fall from grace, this may be the book for you. The chapter about dealing with women and sex is a hoot with today's knowledge. Even without Mr O'Reilly's downfall, the book is pretty dated, there is a lot of anti Bill Clinton screeching, and on the whole it is fairly condescending. By the way, I love his modern books "The Killing of____, they are well researched historical what if's. But unless you are a big fan of Bill's you can pass on this one.

This may seem absurd but I've never seen Bill O'Reilly on tv. (My husband and I made a pact years ago that we'd forego tv because there just wasn't enough worth seeing.) But if I watched tv, Bill is someone I sure would want to take a look at. We are about the same age as Bill and were raised with the same values. I don't agree with everything in the book but he offers good reasoning for what he believes. I wish we had more journalists who would stand up and talk about what is important to America.
