This book was a hard read at first so to say. I had to laugh at the title Me? Obey Him? because that's what you are probably thinking or you wouldn't be reading it! It gives many examples of how the Lord brings wives through marital trials through Biblical obedience to their husbands and blesses them, as well as the "how" to be an obedient wife. My marriage was blessed through this tiny little book and my outlook on what a submission wife actually "is" was totally changed! Submission doesn't mean one is inferior, it means that wives can have so much more JOY by voluntarily accepting the role we were created for!

Does God really want women to be in subjection to their husband?

Elizabeth Rice Handford uses God's Word to present the reasons for a wife's submission to her husband. She shows how the husband and wife relationship is the foundation for a happy and godly home. And at the same time, she shows how a submissive wife is not an inferior partner.
