This is a lot like Al Gore's "Earth in the Balance". with lots of pictures (the cynic in me would say a high proportion contain Ted Danson) and factoids. I think the health of our oceans is a pretty important issue, I wish the authors (I'm also rather cynical about whether Ted Danson actually had a big part in writing this) would have been a little more careful with their facts and graphs. I'm not sure what it means to say that the oceans are warming at a rate of 1% per year (measured from absolute zero?) and the squiggly line on the graph of atmospheric emissions of CO2 on page 55 purporting to show seasonal fluctuations in the CO2 level is obviously not accurate (it folds back on itself vertically), which for me can call into question all other compelling statements.
