This is the 4th book in the series by Dean Koontz. I have listened to all of them in the unabridged version. They were all narrated by David Aaron Baker, who to me sounds like Odd Thomas. He does a good job!
In this story, Odd finds himself drawn to the small coastal town of Magic Beach in California. He is haunted by dreams of a frightening red tide. He doesn't know what his dream means, but he knows that it is more of a nightmare than a peaceful dream.
Odd meets AnnMaria on the boardwalk and they both become part of the drama that evolves.
Elvis has left Odd in this story, but Frank Sinatra becomes attracted to Odd, and Frank has an interesting part to play in this story... I won't ruin it by saying what he does.
I think that people should read (or listen) to the series in order, otherwise, they will know things that will diminish their enjoyment of the following stories. I a really glad I listened to all of them. I recommend them to anyone who wants something a little different.
