This was a very interesting story about a young girl who has progeria, a disease that ages her at 8 times the normal rate. It is mostly written by her mother although Hayley (the daughter) does contribute quite a few chapters. It is very touching because you can see the pain and the fears that the parents experience and the courage that Hayley demonstrates. You can also see how Hayley goes through the typical phases of a young girl. She is very much a normal girl undergoing a very un-normal illness. Hayley is still alive and undergoing new drug experimentations.
ery good read. So interesting to read about this terrible disease that is so rare but strikes a few children here and there. Haley is a very strong, confident young lady. I wish her well. We are all so blessed to be born healthy...
