I have on my bookshelf a book from 1944 called The Rag Bizness. http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/163019-The+Rag+Bizness I am mentioning it here because it is assuming that anyone and everyone connected to the garment industry is Jewish. This is no long the case and has not been for a long time so those interested in US Jewish history might not find this. This is however the only book that I have on my bookshelf that I think would interest this forum. My husbands grandfather ( a good Catholic boy) worked in the Los Angeles garment industry during the 1920 to 1950's and I am sure the book originally came from him.
