I bought this book as a resourse for a paper I was writing on the role of science fiction and fantasy (folk lore) in the world and how it shapes us.....but found myself reading this instead of just extracting what I needed. The stories in it are from all around the world-from ancient civilizations to star wars keeping it very readable with an explanation and insight to how it applies today. Very Joseph Campbell.....but much more interesting with the full stories.
