I read this book on my Nook because I was ashamed and didn't want anyone else to see what I was reading. Mimi Alford deserves credit; she told her story in a way that was classy as possible for a book like this, (which some might argue is inherently un-classy). Although she does recount details of her time with JFK, she does not give details about the "physical" aspects of their relationship, and much of the book is about how it affects her self image and later relationships in life. This book is a quick read - I read it in one night.

It was very interesting. A little hard to believe that all that could happen, especially in the White House. But I guess history proves it right, and I am sure the author would or could not make up all the details.

I found this book to be interesting in the beginning. JFK is one of my favorite presidents and I enjoy learning about him from a different perspective. She got a bit long winded at the end, adding a lot of information that I did not find interested, though perhaps it added to her moving on and mourning through the process of writing it. I thought the first hundred and thirty pages were good, but after that is when it began to go downhill. It is something interesting to read if you have any interest in JFK.
