This is something I wrote for my dad for Christmas this year because he had a close call last month when his pacemaker failed to help him enough and he had to be hospitalized. He came really close to dying but with prayers and faith, he survived it all and so is still with us.. :) I'm just so thankful for another Christmas with him...

This Christmas, more than any other before,
Is a reason to celebrate life and be thankful for
The past year and all its many blessings
What a joy to behold such happy tidings

Dad, this year has been tough for you
So many tribulations you had to go through
But with a fighting spirit and a faith even fiercer
You struggled to hold on and come out stronger

Your quiet kindness and peaceful heart
Are things I have admired right from the start
I hope to someday be more like you
With Christ inside me, faithful and true

So thank you, Daddy, for everything you are
In my life you truly are my guiding star
I love you so much, more so this Christmas time
You are the best father and I'm proud you are mine

Please pray for my dad. He has a very serious heart condition due to his 43 years of having Diabetes Type 1. He could always use some more prayers. :) Merry Christmas everyone!!! :)
