I loved what Preethi Nair did with her characters. They were all rich in their own way, and the reader goes on the journey of growth, pain, grief, love and happiness with them. A mother's love keeps the truth about a deadbeat father from her children because she didn't want them to hate him, but he reappears later in their lives and much changes occur that affect them all.
