Short crime fiction and three suspense novelettes written by a young Lawrence Block between 1958 and 1962. Interesting stories, not politically correct by today's standards. Any Lawrence Block fan or hard case crime fan will like it.

Excellent early Lawrence Block! Some of the plot lines are dated now, of course, but this is an enjoyable stroll through the New York of dime cups of coffee, nickel newspapers, old-fashioned hard-boiled private eyes and dreamy dames.

A great read!
