The first Norman Berrow (who?) book I read was The Footprints of Satan, which I enjoyed (it employs the now-oft-used footprints that begin and end in unbroken snow gimmick.) But I was not able to even finish this book. Way too much talk and interaction between a group of people that I didn't particularly find interesting or pleasant to be around.
