More than 30 of the 121 pages are full-page B&W photos or drawings, grainy on newsprint-like paper. Main impression: co-dependency abounds among writers, fans, performers. Best things (most thought-inducing to me): the poem by Frank O'Hara used as an introduction ("The Day Lady Died"), the piece by Craig McGregor (an Australian writing for the New York Times) and the piece by Lou Reed, called "Fallen Knights and Fallen Ladies." « less
