An excellent, but gut-wrenching book. Elizabeth George is always literate and always honest. This one is no different, but it's a hard read for Lynley's fans.

I was given this book to read by a friend who said it was very good. This book is 900+ pages. I got to page 168 and I had to give up. The book was so boring. The story line kept dragging on and on. I got tired of wading thru the book. I rarely never not finish a book, but I could not finish this one. Why waste my time when I could read lots of other books that I have been dying to read! If I could give it NO stars, I would!
