Fry hamburger in large pan with salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic powder until well browned. Add chopped onion and cook another minute or so. Add green chilis, enchilada sauce and beans and heat through.
Fry corn tortillas slightly, removing before becoming too crisp, and drain on paper towels.
Place a tortilla on plate, cover in chili mixture and shredded cheese, place second tortilla on and cover in more chili mixture and cheese and top with shredded lettuce.
Serve with salsa and chips.
This dish is a family favorite. Great for group gatherings.
I don't measure the seasonings; just sprinkle them on til it looks right.
It's quick, easy, flavorful, and freezes well.
For people that don't like it quite so spicey mild enchilada sauce can be used and less green chilis.
