In this tale Lara gets drawn into what she thinks is a scam involving a Scottish writing cabinet. Naturally a few murders get added to the mix and she travels to the Orkney Islands off the coast of Scotland in an effort to find out who was behind the scam and to clear her name. Along the way she gets involved with an ancient Viking saga and a quest for treasure as well as with people who may not be what they appear to be. The story is more involved then some of the previous books and the Viking legends are really interesting. Another good entry in the series.

Having read and enjoyed the previous books in this series I can say that this is the best in my opinion. Her descriptions of the island made me want to go there. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The mystery is also entertaining. I didn't see the ending coming, but I probably should have. I recommend this book.
