This series is top-notch military SF. Well-written, entertaining. The best recommendation I can give is that it is worth the time it takes to read.
As the third out of 4 books in the series, this volume has a slight feel of incompletion. Nevertheless, it is an excellent book by a wonderfully talented author. Read this and the concluding volume back to back, and you'll enjoy them both more. Highly recommended.
