Personally I'm not a HUGE fan of Shirley McClaine's books or spiritual views, but they were interesting to read when I read them years ago. My Mom was a big fan of her books. The title of this book gives you the impression that the author is just trying to give you their point of view based on their own Christian beliefs. What you get however is a very ugly point of view regarding reincarnation and other new age concepts from a very fundamentalist Christian with a really HUGE axe to grind on Shirley McClaine's unfortunate skull.
