Forced myself all the way through Book 1 of this two part book and couldn't stand it any more. Although the writing was very well done, descriptions were to die for and there were quite a lot of historical accuracy I couldn't finish the story. It was slow, had poor character development and seemed to be as interesting as watching paint dry. Perhaps someone else will get something more out of it...I need something with a bit more caffine I guess.
