As usual, the book is even better than the movie, and it explains the science behind the story much more adequately. Outbreak is definitely a favorite movie of mine, and the book fills in a lot of gaps!

Motaba is the deadliest virus science has ever encountered. Dr. Sam Daniels, top troubleshooter for the US Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases, thanks god it is confined to a remote spot in Africa. But it isn't. A California town is dying of it. All of America might be next. As he tries to halt this medical holocaust, Sam discovers that his most dangerous enemy is not the virus, but someone within his own government.
