I liked this book over all. In general it made me feel like I was the exception and not the norm because week after week I wasn't having the complications that were more likely for an older mother to be. I wound up not needing it for the last 4 weeks though, as I did have my baby prematurely, which luckily for me, had been covered as more likely for an older mom before it actually happened to me!

This book is an older mother-to-be's nightmare. Every chapter is full of information to scare you about things that could go wrong with your high risk pregnancy. I found reading it dreadful.
And for some reason, even though the book's chapters each address a certain subject, the author divides the chapters into weeks. This didn't make sense, but it didn't bother me at first, until I came to a chapter titled "Week 10: Losing Your Baby" or some such. WTF?
Also, it's not well written. It reads like a boring blog entry with some science thrown in.
