Some of the nation's worst drug dealers aren't peddling on street corners, they've occupying corporate suites. The book reveals the greed and corruption that drive health care costs skyward and now threaten the public health. Before you see a doctor, you should read this book. MightI suggest also to watch the movie "Side Effects" that is available to rent at video stores and other rental dealers.

I think everyone over the age of 18 should read this book! It has so much wonderful and eye-opening information about Americans health and the drug companies. I learned so much by reading this book, for example, I now know that half the budget of the FDA division that approves new drugs is paid directly by the drug companies' fees because the federal government is unwilling to provide adequate funding. An amazing, great book.

Very informative book. Lots of useful information about Big Pharma and how they willingly sacrifice our health for profit. A better writer could have made this a very interesting read, but this guy is a bit dry. If it gets too boring, I skip a page or two. Well worth it because Abramson spent many years educating himself about the subject and he crams 3 books worth of information into this thick hardcover. You'll be amazed at how you're being exploited, poisoned and even killed for profit by Big Pharma. I am keeping my copy.
