Well researched and entertaining. It's really not for causal baseball fan, as it dives into the smallest of details. Hall of Fame inductees and candidates can now be debated more intelligentlly as a result of the theories and ratonale put forth by the author.

The only real fault with the book is beyond the author's control, Published in 1994, it really needs a wholesale upgrade to account for the kings of baseball in the mid-90's and beyond. But if you want to get deep into the HOF selection process and are ok with selection comparisons from baseball's golden age, you will find this to be an interesting read.
