One of the few gardening books specific to the Coachella Valley. Books on the Sonora Desert (usually written in and about high population areas like Phoenix and Tucson) have subtle differences in climate compared to the Coachella Valley. The author even uses the right lingo for here (we don't "have rainfall", we have a "rain event.")
