I am very much into quilting and have used some of the patterns in this book (I copied them on a copy machine). If you like paper piecing you will love these patterns. It gives you good instructions at the front of the book on HOW to paper-piece so a beginner should not have a difficult time. But I would suggest starting out with a simple pattern first to get the hang of it.
