This is the novel adaptation of the manga. Basically, Passion volumes 1 & 2. However, manga-ka Gotoh goes deeper into her characters & fleshes them out better. I'm wish I would've read this before the manga series because it fills in a lot of gaps & adds background stories for each character. So, read this - then, go to the manga series!
