I'm not sure how to rate this book, because although it is very well written I can't say I had fun reading it. However, that's my problem and not the fault of the author. If it wasn't so well done, I guess I wouldn't have been affected so strongly. There were so many tragic aspects to the story(at least half a dozen by my count) and even the HEA could not make most of them go away. I did love the strong characters, and finding a new author with an original approach. If you don't mind a heart-wrenching and at times emotionally painful story, I recommend it. But Immediately after finishing it, I had to go to my 'keepers' to find a happy story to cheer myself up.
