Pecan Pie

  • 1 Cup - Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - Salt
  • 1 Cup - Light Corn Syrup
  • 3 - Eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 1/4 Cup - Melted Butter
  • 1 tsp - Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Cup - Whole Pecans
  • 1 - Pie Shell

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Beat eggs slightly, add sugar, salt, corn syrup, butter and vanilla. Add pecans. Pour into pie shell. Bake 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees F, or until a knife inserted into the filling comes out clean.

Make it a cup and a half of pecans to get some nice coverage. Also, add just a bit (quarter tsp) more vanilla. You can also sprinkle some cinnamon into the mix for a little more zest.

This pie was as easy as pie :-). It takes about 15 minutes, if you're slow, to put it together. Don't add the pecans until you mix everything up. Once the filling is mixed, stir in the pecans and add them to the pie shell. The pecans float to the top to make the classic pecan pie. I added more pecans cuz I like pecans.

Nice recipe. It doesn't get any easier or delicious!
