Strong title in every way--we are still deciding whether to do in TP or HC, because of the new material being written for the front matter. Great quotes from PW & Kirkus.

A speculation regarding a real paleontological finding, a cache of bones, some dating to 500,000 years ago, that was lost at the beginning of WWII.

There's not much doubt these wonderful bones actually existed, and their discovery location is now a World Heritage Site where additional bones have been unearthed.

In the novel, some characters have been invented and a few dates and locations moved, but the mystery is still real, especially for fans of anthropology. Ms Taschdjian was one of the last know people to see these bones, a fact which adds an air of authenticity to the events.

This is a story based on fact, very well done, and most interesting if you like foreign setting and/or archeology. I personally found it a fasinating tale.
