Not surprising that this fellow got away with what he did for so long, considering he jumped from state to state.

"On October 13, 1987, the body of 16-year-old Windy Patricia Gallagher was found in her home in Griffith, Indiana. She had been stabbed 21 times and disembowled. 5 months later 14-year-old Jennifer Colhouer of Land O'Lakes, Florida, was raped and also slashed to death in her own home. But it was the seemingly unrelated cold-blooded murder of Beaumont, Texas police officer on March 22, 1988 that sparked a massive, nationwide manhunt across 5 states and 2 continents to apprehend one of the most elusive - and charming - serial killers who ever lived.

28-year-old Michael Lee Lockhart was strikingly handsome - a perfect gentleman with money, a flashy red Corvette, and irresistible sex appeal. He was also a bank robber, drug dealer, forger, rapist, and cold-blooded killer. his role model was Ted Bundy, but Lockhart bragged of outdoing his idol by butchering so many trusting girls on a 30,000 mile odyssey of sex-torture, mutilation and murder, that the actual number of Lockhart's victims may never be known. From the crime trail to the chilling death-row interviews police officer Jaye Slade Fletcher gives us one of the most in-depth and terrifying portraits of the sociopathic mind ever recorded."
