One of the most interesting books I've listened to in a long time. While some of the data is dry, you can skip over those parts to get to how perfume is made, how the marketing is done, how the bottles are designed. I know I will never look at perfume the same way again or buy cheap perfume.

Very interesting. Being an audiobook you can't skip through lists of formulas like you would in print, but they were minimal really and added authenticity. It's clear to met that Burr knows his "juice!" He's funny and has a way of describing scents (especially bad ones) that made so much sense. I doesn't seem like this will be a funny book -- but it truly is. I learned a lot about the perfume industry and while I'm not sure that I am any b etter for it, I felt like my world is a little larger now. Since it's probably not a book I'd have made a priority to get/buy/borrow, an audiobook was perfect!
