In attempts to clear my TBR stacks, I reached back a couple of years and read this. This read has both romance and suspense with a touch of eroticism. Karen Bryant and Caro Spencer are both police officers that are living through on the job injuries. Karen decided to leave police work behind and focus on making a change in the community by opening a youth counseling center. While Caro attempts to transition to a desk job but secretly continues to follow a burglary suspect. The events that unfold with tug at your heart strings as Karen and Caro struggle to cure their personal issues while making the city of Cleveland a better place to live. There were several sub-plots that didnt get resolved and portions of the story stepped off topic a bit. Perilous Passions is an engaging read and the literary community still mourns the loss of this author.
