I haven't enjoyed a book as much as I have this one for some time. Well written, with a great storyline and lots of laughs!

To be totally honest I usually don't read novels that have interracial couples in them BUT this novel was so well written and the characters so real it was hard to tell where their skin color began. This is defintely a keeper.

This book started out slow and I really had to stay focused in order to get past all the extra thinking that the character was doing. It was a little confusing almost like rambling in your head trying to read the story and what the main character was saying and thinking at the same time. Once the story focused more on Ben and Alayna (main characters) then it became interesting. I loved the drama with work and their personal secrets but I didn't like the drama with the little sister although I understood why it was there. Overall it was a good story.

Not exactly what I expected. This is the first novel I've read by Ms. Langhorne. I purchased this novel because of the interesting book description and the great reviews it received. I was very disappointed! I personally couldn't get pass the bad attitudes and then the mention of the hero having B.O., YUCK! Totally lost me on that one. I have nothing against interracial relationships, but I couldn't imagine a fine sister taking up with a guy like 'Ice' with his sarcastic and cynical personality, although Ms. Alayna gave as good as she got with the witty dialogue. The relationship between the two of them just didn't work for me, their was no deep passion, no sizzlin' heat. The debut novel had an interesting plot and some interesting characters, but the romance between 'Ice' and Alayna just fizzled between the pages.
