My version is a shortened children's copy that is illustrated. It's from a series that I had as a kid and is a great way to introduce kids to the classics.

An illustrated classic. From the cover: There are strange things happening at the opera house that no one can explain. Rumors tell of a mysterious masked man many claim to have seen, while others say he doesn't exist. But when a beautiful youn singer falls under the phantom's spell, the man who loves her must come face to face with unspeakagble evil in order to save her!
