From the perspective of a 4th and 5th grade teacher, I like it because it has a lot of different kinds of maps and charts (bar graphs, box graphs, satelitte imagery) and is quite colorful. It doesn't overemphasize the United States as many atlases do (although I think it gives China short shrift).
