You might like the Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child books.   They are better read in order, and I think the later ones are better than the earlier ones.

I am wanting to try and read a paranormal book. Anyone have any suggestions on a good first time read?   Also check out my bookshelf.

Hmmmmm for a first time paranormal book you could try Candle Bay by Tamara Thorne. Its a fairly light read and its a stand alone book so you wont be stuck trying to find more books in a series.
