A cautionary tale for messy kids. A little boy doesn't want to clean his room, and it gets so icky that pigs actually move in, which is fine with him for awhile...until the pigs start messing with his comic books and invite MORE pigs over. That's when he gets the brilliant idea that maybe cleaning his room will rid him of the pigs, which, of course, it does. There is a twist at the end which is really cute.
My 3-year-old daughter loves this book, and I like the pictures, which are reminiscent of William Joyce, one of my favorite illustrators. Very fun book!

Mark Teague always has interesting pictures that go beyond the written word.
Good book to help your little one start cleaning up!
i enjoy reading this book to 2nd and 3rd grade classes - it can be read tongue-in-cheek, but I'm never convinced that the children get as much out of it as I do.
Oh My Goodness...how I loved this book!!! Unfortunately being fond of pigs to the extreme led me to make a mess in my room on more than one occasion hoping for a visit!!
I was seven years old I think.....and I thought this was a true story so I hoped they would come see me.

Good read aloud book for 2nd and 3rd graders.
Funny, funny book. My kids enjoyed this one very much.
You really can't beat Mark Teague's drawings. I wish in a classroom I could go over every page for 5 minutes each. For all you homeschoolers out there, here is a book to really enjoy with your kids.
