An out of print book Written by my late Uncle. It took courage for him to write this and renounce what he thought was misguided thoughts/beliefs and practices on religious word faith movement. You can google his name to learn more.
I read the book, Charles was a theology professor and it shows in the way he writes. The basic premise of this book was fighting a trend in the church that was all about only faith based healing. No medical intervention was allowed or you didnt have faith. That trend also believed in the name it claim it idea. Right confession brings right rewards. The whole book explains that those beliefs make us a Man centered religion, instead of a God centered religion. Chuck goes on to explain that Man was made for God's purpose and God was not made for Man's.

Mr. Farah has written a book that should be read by all who claim Christ as their Lord. Written in 1979, even today the book speaks to many of the excesses that are common in many churches. Mr. Farah does not shrink back from addressing the big and tough questions that we all ask from time to time. Such as: "If God still heals today then why are not all who I pray for healed?" Answers to this and many others like it are addressed with biblical guidance. The reader will never be the same again after reading this book. If you have ever pondered the wonderful claims of New Testament Christianity and wondered if this is God's desire for us today, then you need this book!!! Clay Hamm 12/2/98
