This is a fun series that my daughter loves. The Bailey School kids try and find out if an adult in their city can be a make believe character for example in this one they think someone in their town is a pirate.

There are some pretty weird grown-ups living in Bailey City. But could the boat instructor at Camp Lone Wolf really be a pirate searching for buried treasure? The Baily School Kids are going to find out!

First one I've read (well, skimmed). Not bad for juvenile fiction. There's an actual plot, and some decent 3rd grade dialogue. I still say the kids' parents should have done a better job teaching them not to walk around with their mouths open. It's unsanitary and it makes them look stupid.

"I think he's a pirate," Howie said.
Eddie laughed out loud. "Pirates lived a long time ago. There aren't any left today."
"Besides, who ever heard of a pirate wearing pink sunglasses?" Melody asked.
"I don't know," Liza said. "Let's just go."
"We can't." Howie shook his head. "We know too much. If this is a treasure map and Teach really is a pirate, we may be in a lot of danger!"
