Ann Rule is the master of getting into the mind of the criminals she writes about and delving into every aspect of the history of the cases. This book has 12 case files included.

In Tumbledown Shack, two lovely hitchhikers travel down the road to hell when they accept a ride from a demented killer. Could an upwardly mobile businessman's frightening Fatal Obsession lead him to kill his family-and stab himself to death? And for one beautiful young wife, The Killer Never Forgot...Or Forgave was her "adoring" husband!
From the brutal rapist who used a woman's child to get what he wanted to the rebellious teens who learned a terrible lesson, this collection of bone-chilling cases involving heartless monsters who wreaked bloody havoc is Ann Rule at her best.

This is an excellent book. Ann Rule is a wonderful writer. This particular book has 8 true crime stories with great detail. I really enjoyed reading this book.

This is a very good book..to the point and leaves out nothing. It is not for the faint of stomach folks. Read at your own risk!

Good thing about a book of true crime short stories: I could finish each one and stop, rather than being caught up in the middle of a long true crime book and staying up all night reading. Bad thing about a book of true crime short stories: By the end, they all blended together.

Disappointing, better off buying each individual book Vol 1-8 for the full story unless you just want a brief overview of crimes.

The stories in this book are interesting, and i like them for the one reason that they are short stories.
