can someone tell me how you get those little picture thingys that everone has on their pm and other places?

They're called avatars.

If anyone is interested in a step-by step-tutorial of setting up avatars,blinkies, siggie lines, etc. Go to Chris (mannythepoolshark) profile and click on her notebook entries. She has a tutorial set up there.

You can also do a "Search forums" using the search term "avatars" and lots of discussions come up on this topic. Go to DISCUSSION FORUMS and click "Search forums" and type in "avatars" as search term.
